How you can contribute:
* Develop and maintain robust backend systems in Java and Python to support cross-team software integration.
* Design, improve, and maintain software architectures and APIs across complex product landscapes.
* Collaborate with other teams to reduce dependencies and deliver critical system functionality independently.
* Diagnose performance issues, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations.
* Automate operational tasks and streamline deployment using CI/CD tools like GitLab or Jenkins.
* Work with SQL and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases for high-performance data access.
* Operate and troubleshoot production systems across both Windows and Linux platforms.
* Optionally support containerization efforts and explore cloud-based deployments.
* Embrace a multi-language environment and ensure seamless interaction between diverse software components.
Your Profile:
* A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (BSc/MSc)
* Strong hands-on experience with both Java and Python in production environments
* Bonus: Familiarity with Rust or other low-level languages
* Solid understanding of API design, system integration and software architecture
* Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, especially in GitLab or Jenkins ecosystems
* Knowledge of SQL and MongoDB, with an understanding of performance tuning and data modeling
* Comfortable navigating different OS environments (Linux/Windows) and deploying applications in both
* Familiarity with container and cloud technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, AWS) is a plus
* Solution-driven mindset, a proactive attitude, and strong communication skills
* English required; German is a plus
