Your tasks
1. The Head of the Regional Supply Chain Office (RSCO) supervises all Supply Chain operations within the RSCO, encompassing strategic procurement, operational purchasing, project procurement, supplier development and logistics. The supply chain organization is spread across a number of countries within Europe with the majority of team members being located in Germany, Austria, Scandinavia, and Southern Europe.
2. Main tasks comprise of Management, Strategy deployment and Leadership, Recruitment and Training, Cost Management, Continuous improvement and the respective KPI Management and regular Reporting.
3. This role involves leading all regional functions, including Category Managers, Supplier Development Engineers, Sourcing Managers, Buyers, and Logistics personnel. They ensure the accurate, budget-conscious, and timely fulfillment of all demands.
4. Moreover, the Head of the RSCO is accountable for providing the required capacity and capabilities for all regional functions. They also manage the RSCO costs proficiently within the established framework.
5. In this function you will also ensure that corporate strategies and standards are deployed within the operational units across Europe to ensure a harmonized way of working.
Your profile
6. Minimum 8- years of leadership experience in managing teams of adequate complexity and size. Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain management, operative sourcing, or category management in a global environment, ideally within a relevant industry.
7. Experience in leading and developing an organization based on a strategic approach as well as managing change in difficult environments.
8. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields. Professional certifications such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) or CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) are advantageous.
9. Proficiency in procurement software such as SAP, PurOne and other digital sourcing platforms is a given.
10. Drive to develop talent within the team and foster a team-oriented way of working across departments and countries.
11. Proficiency in English is a must, other language skills are a benefit.
This position can be filled at one of our global Voith Hydro locations in Heidenheim or St. Pölten. The remote work policies will adhere to the regulations of the specific location where you are based.
