Scope Group is seeking a Team Head of DevOps Engineering to lead our DevOps Engineering department and implement industry-leading practices in infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD. As the DevOps leader, you will be responsible for designing and managing scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-based architectures while ensuring the efficiency of software delivery pipelines. This role requires a deep technical background in cloud infrastructure, automation, Kubernetes, CI/CD, security, and monitoring, along with strong leadership skills to mentor and guide the DevOps team. You will collaborate closely with development, security, and operations teams to foster a culture of automation, performance, and resilience. Duties & responsibilities • Define and guide the architectural direction of our cloud services, ensuring they are scalable, resilient, and maintainable • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing DevOps team, fostering a culture of automation and continuous improvement • Assist the Head of Platform Engineering in setting and defining the strategy and roadmap for DevOps • Establish and maintain best practices for CI/CD, security, observability, and cloud infrastructure • Facilitate technical discussions and make data-driven decisions. • Drive collaboration between development, operations, and security teams to improve efficiency and system reliability • Manage Kubernetes (K8s) clusters, containerized environments, and cloud-native applications • Automate build, test, deployment, and monitoring processes to accelerate development cycles • Promote knowledge sharing and cross-functional collaboration across engineering disciplines • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and data protection policies Professional & personal qualifications • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related IT field • Proven experience as a DevOps or SRE engineer in a leadership position • Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker) • Deep knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability tools (ELK Stack, Prometheus, Datadog) • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, Spinnaker) • Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, Go, or other programming languages • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills • Knowledge of modern software development methodologies and design patterns • Knowledge of microservices and event-driven architectures • Fluent in English (written and spoken), with proficiency in any other European language being a plus Interested?
