The Fraunhofer Institute for Secure Information Technology SIT is one of the leading research and development institutions for cybersecurity in Germany and Europe and is part of ATHENE, the national research center for applied cybersecurity. ATHENE is a cooperation between the Fraunhofer Society, TU Darmstadt, Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, and Goethe University Frankfurt. Our common goal: to make the world of tomorrow safer.
Be part of change
* Implementation of Natural Language Processing (NLP) approaches, including:
o Feature extraction (LLM-supported, embedding-based as well as "classical" feature engineering)
o Style change detection algorithms
o Detection of AI-generated text content and attribution of which LLM generated which text
o Optimization of existing authorship analysis methods (attribution and verification)
* Implementation and application of various machine learning methods/concepts, such as:
o One/Binary-Class Classification: LLM-based (e.g., zero/few shot learning, fine-tuning of foundation models), deep learning approaches (CNNs, transformers, Siamese NNs), classical approaches (SVM, random forest, isolation forest, kNN, etc.)
o Ensemble methods (stacking, voting, weighting, calibration)
o Evaluation of ML models based on standardized metrics (ROC, AUC, confusion matrices, etc.)
o Development of UIs and web apps (fastHTML, Streamlit, Gradio, Angular, Svelte)
o Collaboration in publicly funded and/or directly industry-partner commissioned projects
