As a Supply Chain Operations Manager (m/w/d), you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless coordination between the back offices of the non-European Final Assembly Lines (FALs) and internal Airbus departments, logistics service providers, and front offices located in Tianjin, China and the USA. This position demands a proactive approach in optimizing, harmonizing, and stabilizing supply chain and material flow processes to ensure cost reduction and preparedness for production scaling.
Your tasks:
* Coordinate the supply chain interface between non-European FALs and internal departments in both China and the USA.
* Develop and improve material flow processes targeting stabilization for production ramp-ups.
* Identify, conceptualize, and implement measures to optimize logistics processes to reduce costs.
* Monitor return processes for components and tools while ensuring smooth procurement and delivery operations.
* Analyze and manage master data such as origin, pricing, material attributes, and tariff classifications.
* Participate in disruption management while supporting operational and strategic procurement activities.
* Collaborate across multiple levels of stakeholders and international teams, ensuring clear and effective communication.
* Be prepared to accommodate shift work and annual international travel.
Your qualifications:
* Hold a technical, supply chain, logistics, or business studies degree, at least at the Master's level.
* Possess 2 years of experience in material procurement, supplier management, or operational and strategic procurement.
* Show advanced knowledge of SAP R/3 and Google Workspace tools.
* Demonstrate basic process management understanding and capabilities.
* Be fluent in both German and English, with negotiation-level proficiency.
* Exhibit strong organizational and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
* Show ability to quickly analyze and adapt to technical contexts and operational workflows.
* Be open to shift work and worldwide travel once a year.
