Field of activity
As the central service provider of the DRV Bund, Department 16 "Corporate Security" is responsible for IT and physical security, the protection of personal data, confidentiality and emergency management as well as basic and cross-sectional tasks.
The Security Operations Center (SOC) manages the operational IT security of the DRV Bund and other affiliated pension funds. To this end, the SOC operates specialized systems for detecting vulnerabilities and attacks and for responding to IT security incidents, for which it is the central point of contact. The SOC also performs preventative tasks by coordinating and carrying out penetration tests.
As part of the SOC, the Data and Platform Management team takes care of the operation and configuration of the security systems and is responsible for the development of automation and the onboarding of new procedures.
Your tasks
* Planning, controlling, configuring and evaluating one or more security systems (e.g. SIEM, IT vulnerability scanner, EDR, SOAR, ...)
* Contributing to the design, implementation and further development of security monitoring and SOC processes
* Managing, maintaining and further developing the IT platforms provided
* Selecting, implementing and monitoring security tools and security technologies
* Onboarding new data sources and ensuring the data quality of existing sources
* Supporting the introduction and change of platform technologies, such as the implementation of PoCs and the integration of SOC systems with other systems (e.g. ticketing systems, log sources) via APIs and other interfaces
* Creating and maintaining documentation on systems, configurations and processes
Your profile
* A completed university degree (Bachelor, Diploma) in IT or an equivalent qualification, for example due to an IT-specific qualification or completed vocational training in the IT sector with corresponding task-relevant experience
* Several years of practical professional experience in setting up one or more security platforms (e.g. SIEM, vulnerability scanner, EDR, SOAR, ...)
* Experience in the areas of data center infrastructure, operating systems (Linux/Windows), container environments and network protocols
* Willingness to be on call and to occasionally travel (within Germany) and attend training courses/events, including outside the Berlin and Würzburg locations
* The job requires business fluent written and spoken German language skills
* Strong analytical skills, coordination skills, independent self-organization, problem-solving skills and strong communication skills round off your profile

These tasks require the willingness to participate in the on-call duty to be ensured in the team and, in urgent cases, to work outside regular working hours (e.g. at weekends).
