Optimus Search is collaborating with a leading company based in Dresden, renowned in the semiconductor sector for their expertise in micromechanical and optoelectronic components. This company works closely with clients on plasma processes, utilizing laser-driven analytical techniques to deliver highly accurate measurements. Employing around 550 professionals worldwide, with a turnover of approximately 130 million EUR, the organisation operates from four locations in Germany. They are currently searching for a Head of Facilities Management to manage their state-of-the-art-facilities in Jena & Dresden. Key Responsibilities: Overseeing the smooth running, preventive maintenance, inspection, and repair of all technical infrastructure, including cleanrooms, laboratories, and office environments. Managing building and infrastructure services while maintaining consistently high service standards. Leading the planning, coordination, and execution of projects from technical, financial, and scheduling perspectives. Handling subcontractor coordination and material sourcing. Working closely with the EHS team to ensure all legal, environmental, and safety requirements are met. Acting as the primary point of contact for external authorities. Preparing facility-related reports and documentation. Independently carrying out technical site inspections. What we are looking for: Completed training as a certified master technician in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical engineering, or alternatively a degree in Facility Management. At least five years of professional experience in a similar leadership role; exposure to cleanroom technology is an advantage. Willingness to travel up to 20%, with a valid driver’s license. Strong service mindset, excellent communication abilities, and a high degree of personal commitment. Proficient in standard MS Office applications.
