Position Overview Morgan Latif has been exclusively retained by a leading European industrial technology organisation to appoint a Chief Executive Officer to lead one of its project-driven business units focused on industrial and logistics solutions. The business designs and delivers complex engineered automation solutions used in factories, warehouses, and distribution centres. With a strong technological foundation and regressing revenues, the organisation is about to undergo a restructure before entering an ambitious growth phase focused on expanding international sales, strengthening operational performance, and scaling the business significantly over the coming years. The incoming CEO will have full leadership responsibility for the business, driving commercial growth, strengthening customer partnerships, and leading the organisation through the restructure and next stage of strategic expansion. Key Responsibilities
Define and execute the shorter term restructure strategy as well as the strategic growth plan for the business over the next five years. Take full ownership of P&L performance, driving revenue growth, profitability, and operational efficiency. Lead and expand international sales activities, building strong relationships with key industrial customers and strategic partners. Oversee large-scale project sales cycles, including customer negotiations and contract management for complex industrial solutions. Develop and execute a medium- and long-term growth strategy, with a clear objective to scale the business significantly. Build and lead a high-performing leadership team across sales, operations, engineering, and project delivery functions. Ensure successful execution of complex customer projects, maintaining high levels of quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Strengthen organisational collaboration and support the development of international service and lifecycle management capabilities. Represent the company externally with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a P&L holder (CEO, Managing Director, or General Manager) within a project-based business environment (e.g. conversion technology manufacturer who operates as a main contractor/EPC for line building). Prior successful restructuring experience which has led to a revenue growth phase. Strong track record in selling engineered products or solutions to factories, warehouses, or logistics infrastructure projects. Demonstrated success leading complex project sales and customer negotiations. Strong commercial acumen with experience managing full P&L responsibility. Ability to lead international teams and multi-site operations. Entrepreneurial mindset with strong strategic and operational leadership capabilities. Degree in engineering, business, or a related discipline. Fluent German and English skills.
