Affinity are supporting a major finance data transformation programme for a global organisation, and are seeking an experienced Head of Testing / Test Practice Lead / Test Strategy Consultant to lead test strategy and governance across a large, complex environment.
The Programme:
The legacy ERP Finance systems (SAP BW, Oracle ERP, SQL Server – 70+ data sources) are being migrated to
Snowflake, Palantir Foundry, and AWS
. Alongside this, new financial regulations (IFRS 18) must be met. Currently, individual teams manage their own testing and releases with no overarching framework — this role will change that for existing ERP Systems and the future system.
The Role:
* Analysing the current state of test processes across legacy systems.
* Define and implement a
unified test strategy, governance, and methodology
.
* Introduce a
fit-for-purpose Test framework
for the old and new platforms.
* Recommend improvements and oversee adoption of modern test tooling (Azure DevOps is the future direction, with Jira and HP ALM in current use).
* Engage, influence, and align senior stakeholders across business and technology functions.
* Create blueprint for future Testing Team within the ERP department.
What We're Looking For:
* Proven experience as a
Senior Test Manager / Head of Testing / Test Strategy Consultant / Test Practice Lead / Test Programme Manager.
* Track record of shaping and delivering
test governance frameworks
in complex enterprise programmes.
* Strong stakeholder management and ability to drive consensus at senior levels.
* ERP testing experience is useful but
not mandatory
– broader large-scale transformation software testing backgrounds will also be considered.
* Familiarity with finance data, regulatory programmes, or cloud-based data platforms (advantageous).
