To support our research department at our Greifswald - Insel Riems site, we are looking for a full-time position as soon as possible:Biology laboratory technicianfor the Innovation & Development department (m/f/d)In this position, you will contribute to the development of innovative vaccines to maintain healthy animal populations and the sustainable production of high-quality food. You will carry out microbiological and molecular biological laboratory work and tasks:● Molecular biological working methods in the field of DNA/RNA/proteins - DNA/RNA characterization and immunological techniques● Cloning and purification of plasmid DNA and in vitro transcription● Culture of viruses, bacteria and/or cells ● Development of test procedures for testing the quality and quantity of antigens and vaccine samples● Preparation and, if necessary, collaboration in preclinical studies● Documentation and evaluation of results● Production of solutions, preparations and culture media● Taking responsibility for specified laboratory methods, equipment and rooms

Your profile:
You have completed vocational training as a biology laboratory technician or comparable training or a bachelor's degree in a life science and have several years of professional experience in a microbiology laboratory. You have MS Office skills and your working style is characterized by a high degree of reliability, flexibility and a sense of responsibility.
