As a (Principal) Biostatistician / Lead Mathematician, you will manage the statistical strategy in complex, global development projects with high strategic relevance. You will provide technical leadership to your team, proactively assess methodological risks, and contribute your in-depth expertise to the mathematical validation and validation of core lab technologies.

Your tasks
8. Statistical study management & consulting: Responsibility for the planning, evaluation and methodological consulting of (clinical) studies as well as the target group-oriented communication of the results in the development process.
9. Mathematical Modeling & Data Science: Independent development of robust models for the analysis of complex measurement data (e.g. time series) as well as the prototypical implementation in data science pipelines and software packages.
10. Strategic system optimization: Conception and implementation of data-driven decision models and concepts to sustainably and holistically optimize system performance.
11. Interdisciplinary quality assurance: Close collaboration with cross-functional teams (R&D, QC, Management) while strictly adhering to regulatory quality requirements and documentation guidelines.
Your profile
12. Academic expertise & industry experience: Successfully completed doctorate or many years of professional experience in mathematics, physics or a comparable field, ideally in the field of medical technology development.
13. Solid statistical and modeling skills: In-depth expertise in design of experiments (DoE), classical and modern statistics, and mathematical methods such as numerical simulation, optimization, and biostatistics for clinical studies.
14. Secure tech stack: Solid programming experience in R and/or Python as well as proficient use of version control systems (Git).
