As a Junior Art Director at AKQA Berlin,this entry-level position offers the chance tobringvisual thinking, curiosity, andoriginalityto the team. This role is ideal for an emerging talent looking to develop their skills and make a significant impact early in their career. You’ll help define thelook and feelof ideas — from moodboards to campaign executions and final presentations. Whether it’s abrand identity, afilm storyboard, asocial activation, or anemerging digital format, you’ll contribute withfresh perspectivesandsharp visual storytelling.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
1. Develop and execute visual concepts across campaigns, platforms, and formats
2. Contribute ideas to campaign concepts, brand platforms, and storytelling approaches
3. Explore different ways of expressing brands and ideas through imagery, typography, and compositions.
4. Partner with copywriters, designers, strategists, and technologists to create integrated campaigns
5. Stay inspired by culture, art, technology, and design, feeding new references and ideas to the team
6. Comfortable moving from concept to execution, transforming raw ideas into crafted, impactful visuals
7. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
QUALITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS
8. A portfolio that demonstrates both conceptual thinking and visual craft
9. Ability to articulate ideas visually and verbally, with the confidence to share them in a team setting
10. Confident using Figma, Keynote, Adobe Creative Suite
11. Curiosity about how creativity intersects with technology, culture, and storytelling
12. Detail-oriented and self-motivated
13. Confident speaking in English; German is a plus
14. Excited to experiment with new tools (motion, 3D, AI, AR/VR) to expand creative possibilities
15. Collaborative and positive when working with cross-disciplinary teams
16. Previous experience in a creative environment — through internships, freelance work, or a first agency role
