1. establishment of a flow method for in situ observation of remineralisation processes by means of atomic force microscopy
2. quantitative characterisation of remineralisation processes on tooth surfaces by means of confocal laser scanning microscopy (LSM), atomic force microscopy (AFM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM)
3. application of complementary techniques such as electrochemical, spectroscopic and diffractometric methods
4. investigation of synergistic remineralisation effects in the presence of of hydroxyapatite and other calcium compounds
5. production of hydroxyapatite in the presence of modifiers
