For the Computational Medicine group, we are looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher (d/w/m) in full-time or part-time (min. We are seeking to recruit outstanding talent at different levels of experience, from emerging leader(s) to junior postdoctoral researcher with a focus on Human Genomics including experience in single-cell genomics to join the Computational Medicine team at the Berlin Institute of Health. For individuals with experience or interest in single-cell genomics technologies, there is an opportunity to conduct research with recently generated large-scale data in collaboration with the team of Prof. Advancement of the groups research strategy for molecular precision healthcare through the use of ethnically diverse biobank-scale DNA sequencing resources, including whole exome and whole genome sequencing, in agreement with the leadership team
Development of the research group, supervision, development and management of junior staff and students
Developing bioinformatic workflows that integrate population-scale genomics research with data from single cell experiments, to identify disease relevant cell types and states
PhD in genomics, statistical genomics, genetic epidemiology or a closely related discipline
Stage-appropriate track-record of high-impact research and publications in the field of genomics, multiomics, and/or single call analysis
1) Generation and/or analysis of high-throughput genomic data, 2) Genome-scale association analyses using large-scale whole-genome or whole-exome sequencing data, 3) High level of proficiency in computational genomics e.g, variant annotation, 4) Processing and analysis of multimodel single cell 'omics data, including sc-RNAseq or sc-ATACseq, ideally linked to germline genetic variation
High level of proficiency in the English language
