Role Overview
Media Development Investment Fund (MDIF) is seeking an Impact & Insights Officer to help measure, understand, and communicate the impact of our global investments in independent media.
This role sits at the intersection of data analysis, monitoring & evaluation, and strategic insight. You will play a key role in transforming data into clear, compelling narratives that support decision-making, strengthen impact, and demonstrate value to donors, investors, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and enhance MDIF’s impact measurement framework and underlying data systems.
* Collect, analyze, and visualize data across a global portfolio; develop dashboards and reporting tools.
* Produce quarterly and annual impact reports for internal and external audiences.
* Standardize data collection processes and ensure data quality across teams and partners.
* Monitor sector trends and translate findings into actionable insights.
* Analyze communications and content performance; support storytelling through data.
* Contribute to fundraising by providing data-driven insights and impact narratives.
Requirements
* Minimum 2 years of experience in impact measurement, data analysis or monitoring and evaluation.
* Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, public policy, data science, statistics, economics, political science or related field; or equivalent experience.
* Strong analytical skills with experience in quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
* Proficiency with data tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau or similar).
* Familiarity with MEL frameworks, survey tools, and analytics platforms (e.g. Google Analytics).
* Ability to translate complex data into clear insights for diverse audiences.
* Fluency in spoken and written English.
* Based in Prague, Berlin, or working remotely within European time zones.
* Alignment with MDIF’s mission and interest in independent media.

Compensation
* Full-time employment contract
* Salary range EUR 3,500 - 4,000 gross/month
