The position offers competitive compensation according to TV-L E13 (100% employment).Your TasksConduct research in collaborative projects with scientific and industry partners, and regulatory bodiesDesign and build temperature driven test rigs for microfluidic automationPerform layout and simulation of lab-on-a-chip systems for environmental sensorsExecute laboratory experiments to validate the functionality and efficiency in real-world applicationsDevelop embedded firmware and control algorithms for microfluidic automation systemsDesign and optimize PCB layouts for embedded systems used in lab-on-a-chip applicationsEnsure compliance with industry standards for environmental sensorsPresent and discuss your research findings at international conferences and with industry stakeholdersRequirementsA Master's or equivalent degree in engineering, embedded systems engineering, or a related fieldA strong interest in interdisciplinary work, particularly at the interface of microfluidics and engineeringA creative, proactive, and team-oriented mindsetHigh proficiency in English, both written and spokenExperience with CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks), simulation tools (e.g. Matlab) or PCB design software is a plusWhat We OfferWe offer you the opportunity to engage in highly interdisciplinary research with a significant impact on medical diagnostics.
