At the Faculty of Chemistry and Food Chemistry, the Chair of Inorganic Molecular Chemistry offers a position as
Research Associate / PhD Student (m/f/x)
(subject to personal qualification employees are remunerated according to salary group E 13 TV-L)
starting at the earliest possible date in a DFG funded project „Blueprint for a modern sustainable phosphorus chemistry“. The position comprises 50% of the full-time weekly hours with the option to increase to 65%. The position is limited to 36 months. The period of employment is governed by Fixed Term research Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz - WissZeitVG). The position offers the chance to obtain further academic qualification (usually PhD). Synthesis of and Development of alternative and greener synthesis routes for phosphorus fine chemicals and exploration of novel P-compounds. Characterization of the obtained products and intermediates via spectroscopic methods such as NMR, UV-vis, IR/Raman, mass spectrometry and X-ray structure determination. university degree (Master or equivalent) in chemistry; background in organic or inorganic molecular chemistry; an integrative and cooperative personality with high teamwork abilities; safe handling of inert gas techniques; knowledge of analytical methods for molecular chemistry; Microsoft Office and chemical software handling; confident presentation of scientific results in English and preferably in German.
