We are currently seeking a Senior Finance Control Analyst (m/f/d) for a renowned client in the North Rhine-Westphalia region, starting immediately.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the preparation and execution of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities in accordance with IFRS and Local GAAP (HGB), ensuring accuracy and integrity of Financial and Non-Financial Management Information (NFMI)
* Oversight and coordination of accounting, controlling, COSA, inventory valuation, and financial reporting processes, including assurance, compliance, governance, and regulatory requirements
* Providing financial analysis, reporting, and business partnering support to stakeholders, including Hydrocarbon and Non-Financial Reporting topics such as Sustainability, CO₂, Water, Circularity, and Co-Processing
* Close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders on operational activities, strategic initiatives, transition processes (TSA), and cross-functional finance projects
* Responsible for annual electricity tax declaration processes, including preparation of calculations, tax documentation, reconciliation activities, certificate requests, and support during audits and regulatory reviews
* Supporting BEHG reporting requirements, cash forecasting, ad hoc financial analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives within finance and controlling processes
Your Profile:
* Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, alternatively equivalent accounting qualifications with several years of professional experience in Finance, Controlling, Accounting, and Tax environments
* Strong knowledge of IFRS and HGB accounting standards combined with solid understanding of financial controls, compliance, risk assessment, and governance processes
* Experienced in working with ERP systems, preferably SAP, as well as advanced MS Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities with the ability to derive conclusions and recommendations from complex or incomplete data
* Business-oriented and agile mindset with experience in cross-functional collaboration, process optimization, and supporting modern finance and business models using digital technologies and data-driven approaches
* Strong communication and presentation skills in German and English, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently, build trusted stakeholder relationships, and work effectively in dynamic environments
