As a Microwave Engineer (f/m/d), you will be part of a team with a mission to develop, set up and operate our trapped-ion quantum computers and relevant test devices. You will collaborate closely with our international, interdisciplinary team of physicists and engineers. Design concept and detailed design solutions for applying global and local microwave fields onto quantum processor microchips
Discuss technical requirement specifications with engineers, physicists and suppliers
Master’s degree in electrical engineering, physics or a related field
~3+ years of hands-on experience in an engineering or R&D environment
~ Hands-on experience in detailed characterization of microwave systems
~ Good communication and writing skills in English
PhD in electrical engineering, physics or related field with a focus on microwave engineering
Independent thinking, with a willingness to learn and apply new software and hardware skills
Communication skills in German
