The Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB) is a research hub that focuses on understanding complex biological processes.
As a Full or Associate Professor, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team that conducts fundamental and translational research in systems biology and biomedicine.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct cutting-edge research at the highest scientific level
* Establish and lead your own research group in bioinformatics or related fields
* Collaborate with experimental, computational, and clinical researchers within our collaborative environment
* Supervise and mentor graduate students and early-career researchers
* Secure external research funding to support your projects
* Foster partnerships with industry, government, and the broader scientific community
* Develop and deliver engaging courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
Requirements:
* PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
* Outstanding publication record with high-level publications and international collaborations
* Proven experience in interdisciplinary research with a focus on integrated analyses of biomedical data
* Leadership skills with expertise in areas such as protein structure dynamics, computational genomics, or metabolic modeling
* Demonstrated success in securing research funding and managing personnel and budgets
* Excellent teaching and mentoring skills with strong communication and interpersonal abilities
