Description Local Unit & Position Description Area Germany is part of the Maritime Region West Europe. The Area offers Maritime classification services through ~120 committed employees in eight German locations, with its headquarters in Hamburg. Services delivered are Newbuilding (NB) as well as Classification and Verification of Material and Components (CMC/VMC), while Fleet in Service (FiS) is organized in a separate service line across the Region. We are looking for a CMC/ VMC Surveyor to join our team in the Passau area, reporting to the local Team Lead. Main responsibilities: Certification and verification of materials and components for marine and offshore applications under class and non-class related systems and processes Assessment and auditing of production capabilities at manufactures acc. to different maritime schemes Managing our clients together with other relevant parts of our organization and technical responsibility for individual selected customers, as well as sales supporting activities together with the DNV line management Project-orientated work - cooperation in interdisciplinary verification projects Marketing work for identifying additional VMC opportunities Responsibilities The right candidate will enjoy working with a highly engaged team in an environment where trust, teamwork, and innovation are core values.
