Your tasks and responsibilities: You research and evaluate current developments in the field of Large Language Models (LLMs), multimodal AI, and generative AI (GenAI) to identify promising innovations for internal company applications. You rapidly develop and test new, innovative research ideas to assess their technical feasibility and business relevance. You build and maintain scalable pipelines for processing multimodal data, leveraging state-of-the-art GenAI technologies. You collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure prototypes address real-world use cases and accelerate the adoption of new AI functionalities. You contribute to a scalable and compliant data infrastructure by maintaining selected components of the data lake and supporting anonymization frameworks according to GDPR/HIPAA – in cooperation with the Big Data Office. You bring solid hands-on experience in rapid prototyping and feasibility testing of AI/ML solutions. You have proven software development skills—preferably in Python—with a focus on integrating and experimenting with AI models. You have experience working with or fine-tuning GenAI/LLM pipelines (e.g., OpenAI, LLAMA, Mistral). You are familiar with modern cloud platforms and data tools (e.g., Azure, AWS, Foundry, Databricks). You possess a good understanding of data privacy and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, EU AI Act) and ideally have experience with anonymization or pseudonymization frameworks. Your attributes and skills: You have excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills — proficiency in English is a must, and knowledge of German is desirable. You possess strong problem-solving skills, a collaborative work approach, and a high level of attention to detail. You are a team player but can also work independently, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
