Job Purpose and Overview

As a Supply Chain Assistant (m/f/d) you will be an integral part of our Supply Chain team in Darmstadt. Working closely with our logistics service provider, internal teams, and our European Dawn Foods affiliates, you will help ensure smooth logistics operations and excellent customer service. This role offers a diverse range of responsibilities, close cross-functional collaboration, and the opportunity to actively contribute to process improvements in an international environment.

This position is offered on a one-year fixed-term basis with the possibility of extension.

What will you do as a Supply Chain Assistant at Dawn Foods?

1. You coordinate domestic and international transportation in close cooperation with external logistics service providers
2. You act as the central point of contact for all logistics-related topics, internally and externally
3. You handle complaints and returns, clarify issues in SAP, and initiate improvement measures where necessary
4. You review and process invoices from logistics service providers
5. You prepare export declarations and serve as the contact person for all customs-related matters, including Intrastat reporting
6. You organize pick-up orders and issue long-term supplier declarations
7. You regularly prepare reports, such as the monthly scrap report
8. You participate in international projects aimed at the continuous improvement of our supply chain processes

What does it take to be a Supply Chain Assistant at Dawn Foods?

You work in a structured and service-oriented manner and remain calm and organized even in stressful situations. You enjoy working with various internal and external stakeholders.

Furthermore, you recognize yourself in the following profile:

9. Completed commercial vocational training or a bachelor’s degree
10. At least 2 years of professional experience in supply chain or logistics, ideally within the food industry
11. Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
12. Confident use of MS Office and solid knowledge of SAP
13. Strong communication skills, organizational talent, and a high level of customer orientation
