Job Description and Responsibilities
As an MR Scientist, you will lead the development and optimization of advanced MRI techniques for both clinical and research applications. In this role, you will be designing MRI pulse sequences, developing image reconstruction and AI-driven algorithms, and integrating imaging solutions into emerging medical technologies in collaboration with cross-functional teams. You will work closely with clinicians, engineers, and researchers to tailor imaging protocols for specific anatomical targets and interventional procedures, prioritizing data quality and patient safety. Additional responsibilities include conducting experimental validation using phantoms and pre-clinical models, analyzing imaging data, and supporting regulatory documentation.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Physics, or Radiology
* Strong foundation in MR physics and imaging principles
* Experience with MRI pulse sequence design (e.g., Spin Echo, GRE, EPI)
* Experience with image reconstruction and AI-driven algorithms (e.g., parallel imaging, compressed sensing)
* Familiarity with DICOM, 3D Slicer, or real-time imaging APIs
* Experience with signal processing and quantitative image analysis
* Proficiency in Python, C++, ROS or MATLAB
* Hands-on experience with MRI systems (Siemens, GE, Philips)
* Strong problem-solving and data analysis skill
* Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
Preferred Qualifications
* Masters' or PhD Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Physics, or Radiology
* Experience with product development in regulated industries
* Familiarity with biocompatibility and sterilization constraints
* Knowledge of ISO 13485, IEC 60601, ISO 10993, 21 CFR, and related standards
* Excellent oral and written communication skills in German
