Product Support Specialist EMEA
About the Role:
We are seeking a Product Support Specialist to manage our Product Support Team in EMEA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maximizing customer satisfaction through efficient technical support and applications.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in engineering, physics, mathematics or hard science, and minimum three years' experience in technical sales and/or product support. Proficiency in optical engineering and physics concepts/optics industry experience is preferred.
You will lead the Product Support Team, structuring it for operational effectiveness, day-to-day management, increasing regional customer satisfaction for technical and applications support activities.
Your responsibilities will include managing and developing the Product Support Team with objectives of customer satisfaction, revenue growth, high productivity and individual accountability.
You will also schedule Sales & Applications Engineers to provide adequate phone, email and chat coverage, assist the Product Support Team with complex technical inquiries as needed, and work towards continuous improvement of sales process and customers' journey.

Requirements:
* Degree in engineering, physics, mathematics or hard science
* Minimum of three years' experience in technical sales and/or product support
* Proficiency in key optical engineering and physics concepts/optics industry experience preferred
* Strong leadership ability to manage people, build effective teams and create positive working atmosphere
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
* Travel willingness occasional visits of tradeshows and other sites

This office-based position can be located in Mainz (Germany), York (UK) or Lyon (France), depending on the candidate's preference.
