Über den Bereich
Group Strategic Analytics (GSA) ist Teil des Group Chief Operation Office (COO), das als Brücke zwischen den Geschäfts- und Infrastrukturbereichen der Bank fungiert, um Effizienz-, Kontroll- und Transformationsziele zu erreichen.
Sie arbeiten im Global Strategic Analytics Team an der Modellstrategie und Implementierung der Transaktionsüberwachung. Ihr Team liefert führende Modelle auf Basis qualitativer und quantitativer Analysen der Aktivitäten von Deutsche-Bank-Kunden. Um in dieser Rolle erfolgreich zu sein, sind Sie mit modernen Data-Science-Methoden vertraut, besitzen eine umsetzungsorientierte Haltung, starke analytische Fähigkeiten und ein detailorientiertes Denken. Sie arbeiten in einem kollaborativen globalen Team und konzentrieren sich auf Personalentwicklung und Karrierewachstum.
Der Zweck von Transaktionsüberwachungsmodellen ist die Identifizierung und Untersuchung ungewöhnlicher Kundenaktivitäten, um festzustellen, ob diese aus Sicht der Finanzkriminalität verdächtig sind und gemeldet werden müssen. Als Berichtslinie zum Regional Head of Transaction Control Strats sind Sie verantwortlich für die Verbesserung, Implementierung und Wartung dieser Modelle. Sie stellen sicher, dass alle relevanten kriminellen Risiken, Typologien, Produkte und Dienstleistungen angemessen überwacht werden.
Ihre Aufgaben
1. Definition und Umsetzung des regionalen Modellrahmenwerks für die Transaktionsüberwachung
2. Führung funktionsübergreifender Teams bei groß angelegten Modellentwicklungs- und Implementierungsprojekten
3. Zusammenarbeit mit regionalen Anti-Financial-Crime-Einheiten zur Ableitung von Modellverbesserungen
4. Unterstützung und Einführung wichtiger Dateninitiativen wie Datenqualität, Datenherkunft und Qualitätskontrollen
5. Sicherstellung, dass Überwachungssysteme allen Modellstandards entsprechen, inklusive Reporting und Transparenz
6. Identifikation neuer Technologien zur Verbesserung der Erkennungssysteme
7. Repräsentation der Funktion in regulatorischen Gesprächen und Audits; Reisetätigkeit erforderlich
Ihre Fähigkeiten und Erfahrungen
8. Hochschulabschluss (Master/PhD) in einer quantitativen Disziplin (Mathematik, Informatik, Data Science, Physik oder Statistik) oder eine vergleichbare Qualifikation
9. Umfangreiche praktische Erfahrung in Modellentwicklung und Teamführung
10. Erfahrung im Einsatz moderner Machine-Learning- und KI-Methoden im regulatorischen Umfeld
11. Erfahrung mit Datenanforderungen bezüglich Transaction Monitoring, inklusive Vollständigkeit, Qualität und Integrität
12. Starke persönliche und kommunikative Fähigkeiten sowie Erfahrung in der Entwicklung und Vermittlung einer überzeugenden Strategie, die sowohl kurzfristige Verpflichtungen als auch langfristige strategische Ziele berücksichtigt
13. Kenntnisse über Finanzprodukte der Bereiche Corporate Banking, Investment Banking, Private Banking und Asset Management
14. Verhandlungssicheres Deutsch und Englisch (schriftlich und mündlich)

Details of the role and how it fits into the team
Group Strategic Analytics (GSA) is part of Group Chief Operation Office (COO) which acts as the bridge between the Bank’s business and infrastructure functions to help deliver the efficiency, control, and transformation goals of the Bank.
You will work within the Global Strategic Analytics Team on model strategy and deployment of Transaction Monitoring. Your team delivers street leading models leveraging both qualitative and quantitative analytics on Deutsche Bank’s clients’ activities. To be successful in that role, you are familiar with the most recent data science methodologies and have a delivery-centric attitude, strong analytical skills, and a detail-oriented approach to breaking down complex matters into more understandable details. You will work in a collaborative global team and focus on people development and career growth.
The purpose of Transaction Monitoring Models is to identify and investigate unusual customer transactions and behavior, to understand if that activity is considered suspicious from a financial crime perspective, and to report that activity to the government. Reporting to the Regional Head of Transaction Control Strats, you will be responsible for improving, implementing, and maintaining the models for transaction monitoring. You will ensure that all relevant criminal risks, typologies, products, and services are properly monitored.
Your key responsibilities
19. Responsible for defining and executing the regional model framework for transaction monitoring including coverage, data, model development and optimization and ensure the regional model strategy is aligned with global strategy
20. Lead cross functional teams on large-scale model development and deployment projects
21. Become a trusted partner with regional Anti Financial Crime to translate coverage gaps in model design proposals based on data analytics and end-to-end impact
22. Support and implement key data initiatives, including but not limited to, data lineage, data quality controls, and data quality issues management
23. Ensure monitoring systems and scenarios adhere to all model governance standards and that detailed metrics & reporting are developed to provide transparency and maintain effectiveness of transaction monitoring models
24. Identify and assess new and emerging technologies that can be used to enhance DB's detection, through internal or vendor solutions
25. Represent the function in regulatory discussions, audits, and internal committees; travel likely to be required
Your skills and experiences
26. Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Physics or Statistics) or equivalent qualification
27. Extensive hands-on experience in model development and managing a team, including leadership roles
28. Recent and relevant hands-on experience utilizing state of the art Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, preferably with experience in a regulatory enforcement environment
29. Experience with data and the ability to clearly articulate data requirements as they relate to Transaction Monitoring, including comprehensiveness, quality, accuracy and integrity
30. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with experience in developing and communicating a sound strategy that addresses both short-term commitments and longer-term strategic objectives
31. Knowledge of financial products including those related to corporate banking, investment banking, private banking, and asset management
32. Fluency in German and English (written and spoken)
