We are working with a leading construction and engineering business delivering complex, high-specification projects across Europe. With a strong reputation for quality and safety, the business operates across a range of sectors including industrial, logistics, and advanced manufacturing environments.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Construction Manager to join their project team in Maasen, Germany, taking responsibility for the successful delivery of site-based construction activities.
The Role
Working alongside the Project Director, you will be responsible for managing either a section of a project or the full site, depending on scale. You will oversee all on-site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
You will play a key role in coordinating subcontractors, managing site logistics, and driving programme performance, while maintaining strong communication across all project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• Liaise with the Project Manager and provide regular progress updates
• Supervise subcontractors and on-site personnel
• Maintain continuous communication with subcontractors and project teams
• Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations and site standards
• Conduct regular site inspections and safety checks
• Review and prepare site reports, drawings, and documentation
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures
• Apply all HSE requirements and company standards in daily operations
• Support the Project Manager with administrative and coordination tasks
• Manage project changes and report any deviations
• Identify and implement improvements to site operations
• Lead project close-out activities and capture lessons learned
Requirements
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a construction management role
• Strong knowledge of construction, legal, and safety standards
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proven ability to plan, organise, and lead site teams
• Strong time management and decision-making ability
• Ability to perform in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
• High attention to detail and strong focus on quality
Certifications
• CSCS (or equivalent)
• SMSTS (or equivalent)
• First Aid
