Angestellte/r (Fuhrparkverwaltung) Ansbach, Germany Ausschreibungsbereich WHO MAY APPLY? Current INTERNAL Local National Employees throughout Germany. This covers all current Local National employees of the U.S. Forces in Germany, including U.S. Air Force and AAFES-Europe within Germany. Hauptaufgaben The primary purpose of this job is to support the Motor Pool Supervisor in planning and controlling the Transportation program activities for the Logistics Readiness Center (LRC) Ansbach. Performs substantive administrative/clerical actions relative to Transportation Motor Pool (TMP) operations: Conducts regular detailed inspections on 398 Army Owned (AO) and General Services Administration (GSA) leased non-tactical vehicles (NTV) assigned to LRC Ansbach. Reviews the Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) work sheets. Coordinates with Interagency Fleet Management System (IFMS) maintenance supervisor the turn-in of vehicles scheduled for preventative or periodic maintenance, and/or repairs. Prepares maintenance and/or repair documents. Informs Unit Transportation Coordinator (UTC) from all using units/activates of required vehicle turn-in dates for required maintenance scheduled services. Ensures UTC comply with maintenance and service schedules and informs the LRC management personnel when units fail to comply. Coordinates with maintenance section and vendors in scheduling preventative and required periodic maintenance in accordance with current regulations. Monitors status of vehicles at maintenance sites for long-term repair or maintenance; and determines estimated repair completion dates. Processes requests for technical services or modifications required, reviews inspection sheets, and prepares work orders for repairs or modifications. Initiates turn in of vehicles to contractor, or Interagency Fleet Management System (IFMS) vendor when LRC management directs fleet level modifications. Assigns priority control number to work orders prior to start of work. Maintains the Maintenance Request Register. Selects appropriate code numbers, and documents type and scope of repairs or maintenance work. Updates dispatch automated systems to document accomplishment of required maintenance. Prepares daily and weekly fleet status reports for use by management personnel. Coordinates investigations and reporting for traffic accidents and/or incidents involving Transportation Motor Pool (TMP) assigned drivers. Reviews finalized accident reports for accuracy and completeness. When applicable, prepares report of injury. Contacts individual(s) involved in accidents, to include witnesses and agencies (military and German authorities) to collect data, facts and circumstances leading to the accident; and compiles the accident report. In case of uncertainty, personally visits scene of accident to obtain detailed information of accidents. Ensures all back-up documents, trip tickets, operator's report, accident diagrams, etc., are accurate, complete, and do not conflict with military and German police reports. Compiles accident reports and furnish pertinent information to unit or activity safety offices, and maintains associated files and records. Establishes and maintains mileage and accident records and provides detailed reports to using unit and activity safety officers, supervisor and higher headquarter. Collects and assembles documents such as trip tickets, dispatch certificates, driver's accident reports, Estimated Cost of Damages (ECOD) and associated material for initiation of claims actions and financial liability investigations. Informs Hand Receipt Holder of all accidents involving driver negligence or vehicle damage in excess of $125.00. Provides advice and instructions to UTCs and drivers regarding the rules, regulations, procedures and drivers responsibilities such as: mileage logbooks, daily PMCS checks, Accident reporting, and overall maintenance of vehicles. Conducts training with drivers and using activities regarding updated operational or procedural requirements. Performs other duties as assigned. Current employees who have served one year in the same or similar occupation are qualified for the next higher grade. • Applicants must be in possession of a German driver's license class B. • Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a military driver's license. • Office automation skills are required. LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY LEVEL: English Language Proficiency level B2 AND German Language Proficiency level C1 required.
