Position
We are currrently looking for a Senior Accountant (m/f/d) who will be responsible for:
* Managing technical accounting matters, including reviewing accounts and incoming and outgoing invoices.
* Performing daily accounting tasks, including month-end and year-end closing processes, and preparing account reconciliations.
* Collaborating with external accounting service providers and independent auditors.
* Handling correspondence with tax consultants and providing support in preparing tax declarations.
* Addressing day-to-day queries and managing the finance email inbox.
* Participating in external reporting to local regulatory authorities and to EIT.
* Involvement in internal audits for EIT RawMaterials, prioritizing requests for information from local regulatory bodies, and taking follow-up actions to ensure timely and high-quality responses.
* Supporting the department with other administrative tasks.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
* A master’s degree with a focus on economics, accounting and finance.
* A minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting at an international level, particularly in public-funded and regulated organizations, is an advantage.
* Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
* Proficiency in office and accounting software (particularly DATEV and excellent MS Excel skills).
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in both English and German.
