Your tasks
6. Development and optimization of protein purification processes (downstream processes) for the provision of enzymes and proteins (such as PCR enzymes, transcriptases, proteases, etc.)
7. Use of cell disruption methods (ultrasound, high pressure), chromatography methods (affinity, IEX, HIC, SEC etc.), precipitation methods, filtration and high-throughput methods
8. Evaluation of the quality of the enzymes using various in-process analytical methods (activity assays, SDS-PAGE, protein content, foreign activity tests, etc.)
9. Collaboration in the transfer of products to production scale as well as to production and analytics
10. Documentation of all completed work
11. Participation in troubleshooting projects
Your profile
12. Completed studies in the relevant field (e.g. biology, biochemistry, biotechnology)
13. Experience with proteins/protein purification and chromatography in a corresponding hygiene environment
14. Very good knowledge of German and at least basic knowledge of English
15. Curiosity and willingness to learn new methods
16. Ability to familiarize yourself with complex issues
17. Experience with activity testing desirable
18. Ability to lift up to 20kg in individual cases
