As Director of Brand Development & Media, you will take this function to the next level, shaping strategy, increasing effectiveness, driving efficiency, and ensuring a powerful and consistent brand presence across all touchpoints. Reporting directly to the CMO, you will lead a team of five senior professionals and collaborate closely with key stakeholders. This position is unlimited and located in Munich.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
1. Lead and define Westwing’s brand strategy, ensuring a strong, coherent brand identity across all touchpoints.
2. Develop and execute impactful brand awareness campaigns to enhance brand perception and engagement.
3. Identify key opportunities to strengthen brand value and increase brand talkability.
4. Build a robust Consumer & Market Insights (CMI) function to provide strategic direction and fuel brand growth.
5. Develop a new media strategy and implement an effective media plan across all markets.
6. Create and refine brand guidelines, ensuring consistency across all communication channels.
7. Establish a compelling roadmap for brand partnerships and sponsorships, reinforcing Westwing’s premium positioning.
8. Ensure the continuous evolution of our brand and marketing approach in response to changing market conditions and consumer needs.
9. Foster a culture of creativity while maintaining strategic discipline, operational excellence, and high performance.
YOU COME WITH
1. 10+ years of experience in strategic and operational brand management, brand architecture, narrative development, and communication strategy for leading consumer brands.
2. Proven leadership experience, successfully managing and inspiring senior-level experts and teams, paired with a passionate, empathetic, and hands-on leadership style.
3. Strong expertise in strategic planning, negotiation, and execution of media plans.
4. Experience in digital units or e-commerce is a strong advantage.
5. An entrepreneurial and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to think strategically while also being hands-on.
6. A visionary and proactive approach, with a strong ability to integrate new technologies, drive innovation, and effectively prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
7. Deep enthusiasm for premium brands, particularly in design, fashion, beauty, and interiors.
8. Fluency in English (German would be a plus) paired with excellent communication skills.
