Your Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our OT team as an OT Solution Architect. In this pivotal role, you will drive OT Solution Architecture for over 40 Electronics sites, collaborating closely with local teams and corporate IT. Your expertise will be instrumental in standardizing and blueprinting OT systems, ensuring seamless integration with IT infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in realizing our vision of a connected plant, attending OT Architecture Communities of Practice to incorporate customer feedback into global initiatives. Your responsibilities will include developing a comprehensive global OT technology strategy and architecture guidelines that align with risk management and service continuity standards. You will evaluate emerging IT/OT technologies, providing recommendations for their implementation while training IT teams on best practices in OT technology. Additionally, you will guide the implementation of cybersecurity controls within OT system designs, ensuring adherence to industry standards. This role is key to establishing scalable, secure, and efficient connectivity within OT, setting the foundation for data exchange with IT systems and supporting our Industry 4.0 ambitions.
Who You Are
* Master’s degree in computer science, automation, electrical engineering, or a related field (Bachelor’s considered with relevant experience).
* Over 10 years of experience in operational technology (OT) within manufacturing; lab experience is a plus.
* At least 5 years of experience integrating OT systems with IT infrastructure.
* Hands-on experience in corporate IT/OT technology and architecture management.
* Strong domain knowledge in industrial processes, machinery, control systems, and OT systems such as IO, PLC, HMI, SCADA, and MES.
* Expertise in IT/OT convergence and industrial network principles, including fieldbus protocols and ISA-99.
* Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices for industrial environments.
* Business-fluent English skills with strong communication abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management.
