Responsibilities:
1. You advise and support production and functional areas worldwide on all aspects of machine safety - from safe operation to planning and design to safety concepts
2. Through safety analyses, audits, and training, you help the sites to continuously improve the safe handling of machines
3. You further develop internal HSE standards and implement them with a focus on machine safety, risk assessment, and the handling of hazardous energies
4. You support newly acquired sites in their integration into the current HSE management system with a focus on machine safety and general questions regarding occupational safety
5. You drive the continuous improvement of machine safety technology and actively share your knowledge within the organization
6. You independently design and conduct training courses on machine safety, risk assessment, and handling hazardous energies, and provide support in the analysis of machine-related accidents and incidents
7. You are involved in the procurement and approval of machines and systems
Qualifications:
8. You have a degree in engineering, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering, or alternatively, training as a mechatronics engineer, technician, or electronics technician
9. Ideally, you have additional qualifications as an occupational safety specialist (FASI)
10. You are familiar with the requirements for machines and systems in the context of occupational safety, and you are particularly confident in dealing with the Machinery Directive and ISO 12100
11. In-depth (practical) knowledge of standards and processes in textile and paper technology is an advantage
12. As a machine safety expert, you are willing to travel at least 30% of the time (including intercontinental travel)
13. You present content confidently and conduct training courses with enthusiasm and professional competence
14. You have very good written and spoken English skills
