You'll contribute to the full lifecycle of avionics systems—from simulation and coding to bench testing and certification—within a DO-178-compliant environment.In addition to strong technical skills, the associate should demonstrate key soft skills such as proactiveness (mining additional requirements), the ability to build and maintain customer relationships, foster trust, and exhibit strong stakeholder management and negotiation capabilities.Role and ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and verify embedded software components (C/C++/Python)Define and execute system-level test cases on Airbus benches (ZOC, CAN)Develop and maintain automated test scripts using LabVIEW, BUDDY, CANoe, and vTESTstudioCreate and adapt embedded simulators and internal tools for integration workflowsDraft and manage technical documentation : SRD/SDD, HLR/LLR, ATP/ATR, BOMs, engineering drawingsAnalyze and resolve anomalies using JIRA, ClearQuest, and Airbus PR/MISP tracking toolsEnsure traceability and compliance with DO-178 lifecycle standardsOperate within Airbus toolchains: DOORS, ClearCase UCM, Git, SAP, Solid Edge, CAM toolsMust haveEducation - Master's degree in Embedded Systems, Avionics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer ScienceProgramming - Strong experience in C, C++, Python, and scripting languagesTesting & Automation - Hands-on with LabVIEW, CANoe, vTESTstudio, BUDDYDO-178 Compliance - Proven experience across software lifecycle phases (DAL-level coverage)Tools & Platforms - Proficient in DOORS, ClearCase UCM, Git, LDRA, JIRA, ClearQuestDocumentation - Skilled in writing SRD/SDD, ATP/ATR, BOMs, and engineering drawingsMindset - Autonomous, detail-oriented, and team-driven.Languages - Fluent English & GermanGood to haveHardware - Experience with avionics cabling, adapter creation, and bench operationSimulation - Familiarity with embedded simulator development and functional model interpretationCompliance - Knowledge of Export Control and Airbus documentation standards (CMM, IPC, SB/SIL)CAD & Engineering Tools - Solid Edge 3D modeling, CAM Compiler, ICC, PM ToolSector Experience - Aerospace, Defense, or regulated environments (Rail way, Automotive)
