Details of the role and how it fits into the team
The Global Surveillance Operations team works collaboratively with the Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) group to protect the Bank from potential Sanctions risk. As the Global Head of the Transaction Surveillance team, you will play a critical role in helping to drive compliance with regulatory sanctions policies. Operating in the first line of defense, you will partner with the AFC & Corporate Bank teams.
The Director Position will report directly to the global head of Cash, Surveillance and Messaging Operations. This high-energy, results-oriented job requires a balance of strong people and leadership skills, executed with a sense of urgency in resolving problems and issues. Creativity, work schedule flexibility, adaptability to changing business and AFC conditions, and a heavy emphasis on timely execution, quality and accuracy is key for a candidate to be successful in this role.
Your key responsibilities
* Leadership Role / Management of all global Surveillance Operations and Investigations processes and Teams including overall accountability for all employees and functions performed in Hubs and Branches.
* Drive design and execute Target Operating Model of Surveillance Operations and support global alignment and centralization.
* Standardization and harmonization of processes to support process automation and the development of the strategic Target System Architecture to build a solid foundation for further growth and increase efficiency.
* Strong focus on team building, integration, staff motivation and talent development.
Your skills and experiences
* Senior level understanding of Surveillance/Sanctions Operations processes, AFC requirements, and end-to-end processes.
* Entrepreneurial thinking with a strong customer and risk focus.
* Strong relationship manager to build and expand governance and connectivity across global regions, improving client experience and risk controls.
* Experienced leader able to motivate large teams, execute change in multicultural complex environments, and establish a high performing, inclusive Risk and Speak-Up culture.
* Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities, and work as part of a team as well as individually.
* Highly motivated with strong problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to overcome challenges positively.
* University degree in business administration/economics or comparable.
* At least 10 years of working experience in strategic or leadership positions.
