The role
As a Bid Manager / Tender Manager, you will be responsible for the entire bid process – from analyzing tender documents and developing bid strategies to submitting competitive offers. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners, especially within the context of international aviation projects.
Your key responsibilities
* Manage and coordinate the complete tendering process (RFI/RFP/RFQ) for aviation projects and systems
* Analyze, evaluate, and compile tender documents, e.g. for aircraft manufacturers, system suppliers, and authorities
* Develop and implement customized bid strategies with a focus on aviation (e.g. EASA Part 21, DOA, POA)
* Conduct market and competitor analyses in the aviation sector (including key players like Pilatus, Diamond Aircraft, Airbus, Bombardier)
* Identify and assess project risks, and define appropriate mitigation measures
* Support the sales team and advise customers from the aviation industry
* Negotiate with partners, suppliers, and clients
* Collaborate with internal departments such as engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and quality assurance
* Prepare and maintain reports, analyses, and presentations on current bids and market trends
Your profile
* Degree in industrial engineering, aerospace engineering, business administration, or a comparable qualification
* Several years of relevant professional experience in bid/tender management, ideally in the aviation industry
* Strong understanding of tender processes and technical/commercial interrelations in the aviation sector
* Excellent analytical skills and a high degree of initiative
* Strong communication and negotiation skills in both English and German
* Proficient in MS Office (especially Word/Excel); experience with aviation-specific software is an advantage
* Structured, independent way of working and a strong team spirit
* Willingness to travel internationally as required
