Job Description:
We are currently looking for a skilled & passionate Head of Engineering (m/w/d) to lead our Commerce Finance Tech Circle Cluster at ABOUT YOU!
Our ABOUT YOU Commerce Finance Tech Circle Cluster is responsible for connecting to the ABOUT YOU Commerce ERP solution to ensure the regulatory compliance of our commerce business. Furthermore, the team builds an ETL platform used by stakeholders and for generating financial reports.
What you will do
* Oversee and enable key strategic initiatives across our system landscape in collaboration with application teams.
* Build performant & high scalable technical solutions with core teams.
* Draft architectural decisions and ensure reliable, state-of-the-art products.
* Build and manage high-performing engineering teams within the Supply Tech Unit, including hiring, coaching, and mentoring.
* Manage a unit of three tech teams and collaborate with business stakeholders.
* Report directly to VP level and prepare MD decisions.
* Challenge business requirements to balance technical complexity with business value.
* Provide leadership fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Who you are
* Experienced in developing high-scalable software products in an agile environment.
* Deep understanding of Software Architecture and Infrastructure setups in cloud providers (AWS, Google Cloud).
* Skilled in designing scalable systems and data modeling.
* Deep understanding of business and tech processes.
* Comfortable working with senior stakeholders (Directors, VPs, C-Suite), both technical and non-technical.
* Analytical, data-driven, and efficiency-focused approach.
* Hands-on work style with attention to detail and a get-things-done mentality.
* Excellent written and spoken English skills.
