You’ll play an instrumental role in delivering high-quality, future-oriented education, empowering students to develop the skills and mindset needed to thrive in a globalized and rapidly evolving world. Your contributions will have a lasting impact on the academic journey of your students and support the continued growth of both the university and its vibrant international community.
Conducting advanced courses in core DevOps modules, such as:
# Machine Learning for DevOps
# Advanced Software Design and Optimization
# Systems Provisioning and Configuration Management
~ Supervising project-based work, capstone projects, and the Master’s thesis ensuring a high standard of academic achievement and didactic excellence
~ Advising and supervising students to help them achieve their goals
~ Contributing to the further development of DevOps curricula and applied learning formats (e.g., industry projects, labs)
~ Initiating and conducting research and development projects in DevOps, Cloud Computing, CI/CD, or related automation topics
~ Advising prospective students and contributing to UE’s outreach activities
~University studies completed with a Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
~ At least three years of qualified professional experience, with two years outside of a university, in software development, cloud architecture, DevOps, or related domains
Proven teaching or training experience in at least two of the following areas:
# Software Engineering and Agile Development
# Infrastructure as Code and Systems Management
# Machine Learning Operations (MLOps)
Strong practical and academic understanding of DevOps pipelines and toolchains
Ability to teach courses in English language
Ability to teach courses in German language is an advantage
Commitment to applied research, student engagement, and curriculum innovation

~ The hiring requirements for professorships are based on the provisions of §43 of the university law of the Federal State of Brandenburg/Germany. The award of the title Professor by the University of Europe for Applied Sciences is contingent on the approval of the Ministry of Science, Research, and Culture of the Federal State of Brandenburg/Germany.
