Embraer Defense & Security We are looking for a Defense & Security Sales and Business Development Manager in Europe preferably in Germany, responsible for the Europe region. Business Development Manager Purpose of the Role You will handle Sales and Business Development for several Western and Central European countries. You will promote Embraer’s Defense and Security products, focusing on the C-390 Millennium and A- 29 Super Tucano military aircraft, as well as radars, C3I systems, and cyber solutions. Your tasks include managing, coordinating, monitoring, and controlling sales and business development activities in line with Embraer’s requirements. Main Tasks & Responsibilities You will handle sales opportunities from market development to contract negotiations. You will interpret business opportunities, understand customer requirements, analyse competition, identify the company's strengths, and create winning strategies. You will build effective relationships with key stakeholders, including Government and Non- Government Organizations, the Armed Services (especially Air Forces), the defense industry, and the diplomatic community. You will interpret, verify, and share data from these engagements accurately. Strong communication skills are essential. You must be comfortable engaging at ministerial level and senior armed forces officers. Understanding the operational, political, and business environment is crucial. You should have effective written and oral briefing skills, be able to reach informed conclusions, and use evidence to make accurate and compelling recommendations. It is important to be aware of the defense industry and understand how defense acquisition activities and trends among armed services or government institutions affect Embraer's interests. Additionally, identifying new business opportunities for Embraer's products and services, particularly in the air domain, is essential. You will be responsible for contributing to the company's media, marketing, communication, and publications efforts to enhance Embraer's image and perception with authorities and government stakeholders. Embraer prioritizes ethics and adherence to its Code of Conduct. You will be required to comply with company and departmental norms, policies, directives, and procedures, particularly those related to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and export control regulations of all applicable countries. Profile of the Suitable Candidate Bachelor Level educational background & relevant experience with a defense environment. Preferably, knowledge of air and military operations within NATO/European settings. Profound knowledge of the key defense technologies/trends on the current and trends in Air and Military Operations. Familiarity with Multinational Defense organizations (NATO, EDA, NSPA). Understanding of European Union defense principles and initiatives Experience in Defence & Security procurement processes. Self-confidence, resilience, and flexibility are essential for success. Methodical and goal oriented. Familiar with Defence & Security procurement processes and practices. Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of French, German or Portuguese languages is of great advantage. Eligible to live and work in Europe. Capable and willing to travel frequently.
