Hardware Electronics Engineer - Sensors / Automotive
We are partnered with an industry leading semiconductor company specializing in the development of cutting-edge environmental sensing technologies looking to expand their team in Germany with a Hardware Electronics Engineer.
This opportunity is based out of Reutlingen, Germany.
Key Responsibilities for this Hardware Electronics Engineer position:
* Design and layout PCBs using tools like Altium, Eagle, or KiCad
* Develop electronic hardware for new applications and sensor systems
* Create 3D CAD models for internal and customer-facing prototypes
* Interface with firmware and systems engineering teams
* Collaborate with external development partners
* Conduct tests and validations for hardware releases
* Maintain and improve legacy hardware during product lifecycle
* Contribute to root cause analysis and continuous product improvement
Key Requirements:
* B.Sc./M.Sc. in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
* Strong circuit design and PCB layout experience
* Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling (e.g., Fusion 360, SolidWorks)
* Familiarity with communication interfaces (CAN, LIN, SPI, I2C, Serial)
* Automotive hardware development experience
* Knowledge of Automotive SPICE, ASIL is a plus
* Basic firmware/software knowledge beneficial
