Salary: $55,–60, per year
Job Purpose
Join AkzoNobel’s MPY (Marine, Protective & Yacht Coatings) team in Burnaby as a Customer Service Representative! In this key role, you will support both internal and external customers and play at the heart of our order fulfillment process, helping us deliver innovative coating solutions to our valued clients.
Key Accountabilities
1. Order Management: Accurately process customer orders, send confirmations, communicate delays, and collaborate with manufacturing, purchasing, logistics, and sales teams.
2. Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve customer complaints, claims, and questions efficiently and professionally.
3. Customer Support: Handle inquiries from internal and external customers via phone, email, or in person.
4. Administrative Support: Maintain customer records, update pricing, track short payments, generate reports, and forward sales leads.
5. Sales Support: Assist with Request for Proposal (RFP) and quote responses and convert inbound prospect calls into sales opportunities.
Job Requirements
6. Experience: 3–5 years in customer service or sales support, preferably in a B2B or manufacturing environment.
7. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
8. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and professionalism.
9. Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); Experience with AI is an asset. SAP experience is an strong asset.
10. Organization: Proven ability to multi-task and manage changing priorities.
11. Relationship Building: Friendly, proactive, and skilled at building positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
