We are seeking a Principal Sensor Fusion Architect – Real-Time Biorobotic Systems who will own and define the real-time sensing and behavioral intelligence of our biorobotic systems, designing deterministic, heterogeneous computing, and real-time intelligence under extreme SWaP constraints.
Your Role We are seeking a
Principal Sensor Fusion Architect
to
define how our systems perceive, interpret, and react to the world
across a
heterogeneous platform
— spanning
neuromorphic computing, FPGA, and microcontrollers. You will turn raw, noisy, unconventional signals into
reliable, real-time behavioral inputs, under extreme
SWaP and resource constraints. This is a
core system ownership role, not an algorithm-only position.
Ownership, Impact & Mindset You will
design and validate sensor fusion strategies end-to-end
— from mathematical modeling and simulation (e.g. Mathematica or equivalent) to real-world implementation on constrained, heterogeneous hardware. You rapidly move between theory and experiment, making decisions with incomplete data and validating them on real systems. You thrive in
uncertainty, experimentation, and iteration, and take ownership of turning complex, multi-modal signals into robust behavior. You prefer
working systems over perfect models, and you are comfortable operating where biology, noise, and hardware constraints collide.
Profile 8+ years experience
in sensor fusion, signal processing, or real-time systems
(industry only) Strong foundation in
mathematical modeling, estimation, and multi-sensor systems Experience deploying algorithms on
constrained or heterogeneous platforms Ability to bridge
theory ↔ implementation ↔ real-world validation Mindset:
