Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead the on-site delivery of onshore wind projects across Germany. Based in Frankfurt, you will manage construction activities from pre-construction planning through to commissioning and handover, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee all on-site construction activities for onshore wind projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, health and safety standards, and contractual requirements.
* Manage contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel, ensuring effective coordination and communication throughout the construction process.
* Lead construction planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring from early mobilisation to project completion.
* Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and risk assessments to ensure safe and efficient operations.
* Serve as the primary on-site contact for technical, commercial, and stakeholder matters during construction.
* Collaborate closely with internal engineering, project management, and procurement teams to ensure alignment on timelines and technical requirements.
* Manage project documentation, reporting, and adherence to permitting and regulatory conditions.
* Troubleshoot construction-related issues and implement corrective actions where needed.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimise construction processes and outcomes.
Candidate Profile:
* Extensive experience in managing onshore wind construction projects in Germany is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of construction processes, health and safety regulations, and quality standards within the renewable energy sector.
* Proven ability to manage contractors, oversee complex site operations, and maintain control of timelines and budgets.
* Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
* Capable of working independently in a fast-paced project environment with a hands-on approach.
* Willingness to travel regularly to project sites across Germany.
* Fluent in German and English.
