Role Overview
As Country Manager for Germany, you will own the company’s commercial strategy and execution in the market. This high-impact role requires building relationships, driving sales of IoT and Cast solutions, and establishing credibility with key decision-makers in industrial, commercial, and public sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Market Development
* Develop and execute a market entry and growth strategy for Germany.
* Identify high-value segments and use cases across industries and public sector.
* Track federal and state funding programs and policy developments.
* Monitor competitor activity and market trends.
Sales & Revenue
* Manage full sales cycle from lead generation to signed contracts.
* Build and manage pipeline, forecast accurately, and report transparently.
* Hit revenue targets and contribute to international expansion.
* Develop pricing strategies while protecting margins.
Relationships & Partnerships
* Build relationships with industrial operators, energy consultants, Stadtwerke executives, and public-sector decision-makers.
* Develop partnerships with local engineering firms and system integrators.
* Represent the company at industry events and conferences.
Leadership & Operations
* Build local capabilities as the market grows, including hiring and managing staff.
* Collaborate with product, marketing, and technical teams to shape solutions.
* Manage the local P&L and report directly to senior leadership.
Requirements
Must-Have
* Proven B2B sales and business development experience in the German or DACH energy sector.
* Ability to develop a new market or significantly grow revenue.
* Experience with full sales cycle for technical/consultative solutions.
* Strong understanding of Germany’s energy regulations (GEG, EnEfG, BEG) and funding mechanisms.
* Excellent German and English communication skills.
* Self-directed, results-oriented, and comfortable with autonomy.
* Willingness to travel within Germany and occasionally to headquarters.
Preferred
* Experience with IoT platforms, energy management systems, SCADA, smart metering.
* Familiarity with German funding programs (KfW, BAFA, BEG).
* Established network in Germany’s energy sector.
* Experience with public procurement, ESCO models, energy audits, or Energieberatung.
