As the Sales Director for Food Service & Local QSR, you will be responsible for developing and executing strong, ambitious sales plans in collaboration with the marketing team in the DACH & Benelux regions. You will lead the Benelux and DACH Foodservice teams and be in the driver's seat to implement your sales strategies and local plans (what & how) while ensuring the achievement of our ambitious growth targets. Reporting directly to the Senior Sales Director for Food Service & Local QSR for Continental Europe, you will play a pivotal role in driving significant business growth, developing and engaging your team, and maintaining strong relationships with clients in the food service industry across both regions.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Food Service & Local QSR, Continental Europe (CE).
This role could be based in: Germany (Hannover, Eschborn) or Netherlands (Lewedorp, Lelystad).
Key Responsibilities :
1. Proactively contribute to scoping the planning & budget/forecast.
2. Translate Foodservice CE strategy F30 plan and annual budget plans into country-level plans (how and what), including continuous review of Go-to-Market strategy in your region.
3. Set ambitious goals and plan ahead to achieve them.
4. Make doing business with McCain easy.
5. Drive the digitization of our customer contact strategy in your region.
6. Prioritize clarity to move swiftly and with impact.
7. Review objectives quarterly, provide directions to teams, and cascade mitigation plans.
8. Identify and align resources to achieve plans at local, central, and global levels.
9. Take smart, calculated, data-driven risks, and scale successes through innovation.
Business Knowledge :
* Deep understanding of market and customer trends, leveraging industry networks for strategic decisions.
* Comprehensive understanding of financial variables.
* Align organization to evolving customer needs with a customer-obsessed mindset.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including local QSR chains, restaurants, hotels, catering companies, distributors, and other food service providers.
* Identify new business opportunities and partnerships to expand market presence and digital sales opportunities.
* Represent McCain at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote products and build industry networks.
Key Stakeholder Collaboration :
* Recognize when and how to engage other departments in business decisions or sales processes.
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Finance, Operations, and Product Development to align sales efforts with overall business goals.

* Inspire and engage your team with a clear vision and direction.
* Take ownership of McCain’s success, working proactively across boundaries.
* Conduct regular business reviews to ensure targets are met and resources are allocated effectively.
* Assess performance against objectives and develop mitigation plans for headwinds.
* Provide regular updates on sales performance, market insights, and client feedback to senior management.

* Support team development through coaching, recognition, and annual performance reviews.
Qualifications & Experience :
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
* Proven success in sales leadership within the food service industry, focusing on street markets, distributors, key accounts, and/or local QSR.
* Strategic thinker with market trend analysis skills and effective sales strategy development.
* Results-oriented with a focus on revenue growth and targets achievement.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software (Salesforce preferred).
* Knowledge of local regulations and market dynamics in the food service industry is advantageous.
* Strong project and team management skills.
* Excellent problem-solving, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
* Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken.
