These are our current challenges and future goals:
We are looking for a senior technical leader to own how our core business systems fit together and evolve over time.
The role sits between strategy and execution, with the technical depth to engage meaningfully with engineers, vendors, and implementation teams, while staying focused on system-level design, decision quality, and long-term outcomes.
You will work across our core operational and commercial systems, defining integration patterns and a pragmatic target system architecture, while acting as an escalation and decision layer between business and delivery teams.
This is where we need your support:
Own system-level technical decisions
* Take clear ownership of integration and system design decisions.
* Frame trade-offs across cost, complexity, risk, speed, and sustainability.
* Document decisions and ensure they are understood and applied.
Establish a shared view of the system landscape
* Assess a fragmented, independently evolved system landscape.
* Identify the highest-leverage areas to improve coherence and reduce risk.
* Define where to start and why, in a way the organization can align behind.
Define integration patterns and guardrails
* Establish clear system boundaries and integration principles.
* Enable systems to evolve independently without brittle coupling.
Manage long-term complexity and risk
* Identify failure modes and structural risks early.
* Prevent silent accumulation of technical debt through deliberate design.
Act as a technical counterpart to the business
* Translate business objectives into sound technical structures.
* Partner with Product, Operations, Finance, and Tech leadership.
* Challenge proposals that introduce unnecessary long-term cost or risk.
Work with vendors and delivery teams
* Evaluate system changes from a whole-system perspective.
* Provide guidance and review without owning delivery or execution.
You have the following experience:
* Senior experience in system design, integration, or technical leadership roles.
* A track record of owning cross-system technical decisions.
* Comfort operating in SaaS-heavy, vendor-managed environments.
* Clear, pragmatic communication across technical and non-technical teams.
