About this position:


We are recruiting a research management expert with both strategic vision and excellent execution ability. You will become the core pillar for the implementation of the institute’s scientific research strategy and the efficient daily operation, and through professional project management, resource coordination, and systematic operation, ensure that scientific research activities are promoted in a compliant and efficient manner, and directly contribute to the output of the institute’s innovative achievements.


Job Responsibilities:


• Scientific Research Planning and Execution: Break down and implement scientific research strategies, formulate and track detailed scientific research plans and execution roadmaps. Be responsible for the collection, analysis, and in-depth insight of scientific research data, and write various progress reports, analytical briefs, and management documents.

• Full-cycle Project Management: Be responsible for the full-cycle management of scientific research projects from project initiation, execution, monitoring to project completion acceptance. Including task letter follow-up, progress and risk monitoring, milestone review coordination, supervision of fund usage, and preparation of completion materials.

• Resource and Funding Coordination: Conduct the application and allocation of internal resources for scientific research teams. Lead or deeply participate in the application work for various internal and external scientific research funds and grant projects (such as group company, German DFG, EU Horizon Europe, etc.), be responsible for the organization, writing, submission, and agreement follow-up of materials in the whole process, and ensure the compliant use of funds.

• System Construction and Optimization: Establish and continuously optimize the institute’s core processes and systems such as scientific research project management, funding supervision, and achievement evaluation, and promote the improvement of management efficiency.

• Internal and External Communication and Coordination: Serve as the main coordination interface between the scientific research team and support departments such as administration, finance, legal affairs, and laboratory management. Be responsible for maintaining project communication and partnership with external cooperative units (universities, research institutes, enterprises), and assist in organizing various academic conferences and review activities.

• Achievement Management and Compliance: Be responsible for the statistics, archiving, and reward application support of scientific research achievements. Establish intellectual property management processes. Ensure that all scientific research activities comply with company policies and German/EU regulatory requirements in data security, scientific research ethics, and other aspects.


Job Requirement

• Education and Experience: Possess a doctoral degree in materials science, chemistry, biotechnology, chemical engineering, or related fields. At least 5 years of relevant experience in scientific research project management or R&D support. Candidates with working experience in multinational enterprises, European research institutions, or universities are preferred. Have a basic understanding of the scientific research funding systems and management rules of Germany and the EU. Candidates with successful application or management experience in related projects are preferred.

• Professional Knowledge and Skills: Solid project management knowledge. Candidates holding PMP or similar certification are preferred. Possess good financial awareness and be able to understand and handle project budgets and reimbursements. Excellent written and oral communication skills in Chinese and English (required), able to write professional technical management reports and emails. Candidates with basic German communication ability are preferred. Proficient in using project management software, data analysis tools, and Office software.

• Core Competencies and Qualities: Excellent organizational, execution, and multi-task coordination abilities, with attention to detail and orderliness. Strong cross-department communication and service awareness, able to efficiently collaborate with scientists and various support teams. Possess excellent problem-solving ability and stress resistance, and be able to maintain stable output in a fast-paced environment. Proactive, highly responsible, and take supporting and serving the scientific research team as the core orientation.
