Your Role

We are looking for a Market Development Manager in the Development and Plastics Recycling division (Life+ segment).

In this role, you will drive market development, vertical strategy, and key account growth within Health and Plastics Recycling applications. You will work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Portfolio teams to shape growth strategies, strengthen market positioning, and ensure strong alignment with customer needs.

This role combines market analysis, strategic account development, portfolio input, and subject-matter leadership, with significant exposure across EMEA.

Your Responsibilities

Market Analysis

1. Analyze applications in the healthcare sector (, biopharma, laboratory vacuum, hospital gas) and the plastics recycling industry to identify growth opportunities.
2. Assess industries in terms of their resilience, regulatory trends, and relevance to sustainability.
3. Monitoring competitors and product gaps to support sales and portfolio strategy.
4. Shaping market segmentation and value propositions.

Key & Strategic Account Management

5. Supporting sales in managing key accounts through performance evaluations and innovation planning.
6. Providing insights into applications and markets to shape customer strategies.
7. Leading the acquisition of new strategic customers and developing compelling business cases.

Product Portfolio Management

8. Advising portfolio managers on trends, applications, and competitor positioning.
9. Supporting the development of new products and the creation of business cases.
10. Aligning pricing and value strategies with the sales and product teams; sales support.
11. Conducting targeted training and providing technical support to increase sales effectiveness.
12. Addressing skill gaps through tools, coaching, and customized materials.

Marketing

13. Collaborate with the marketing team on messaging, campaigns, and promotional materials.
14. Promote brand visibility through trade shows, digital content, and industry-specific initiatives.

Training & Communication

15. Creating and updating training materials on health and plastics recycling.
16. Serving as a subject matter and market expert for internal stakeholders, customers, and external audiences (, presentations at conferences, webinars, and customer events)

Requirements

17. Proven vertical strategies that lead to measurable revenue and margin growth
18. Strengthening our market position in the health and plastics recycling sectors by acquiring major clients and expanding market presence
19. Building cross-team internal expertise through regular training and collaboration
20. Recognized subject matter expert who enjoys the trust of internal and external stakeholders

What You Should Bring to the Table

21. A college degree in engineering, business administration, or a related technical/business field.
22. At least 5 years of professional experience in market development, product management, or technical sales—preferably in industrial applications such as vacuum technology, compressors, or sustainable technologies.
23. Proven track record of success in managing strategic accounts, identifying market opportunities, and influencing cross-functional teams.
24. Experience in the healthcare, life sciences, plastics recycling, or related sustainability-focused industries is a significant advantage.
25. International business experience and excellent English skills are required; additional languages are a plus.
