Your tasks - your area of responsibility:
1. Leads continuous improvement programs of suppliers performance on their manufaturing processes, striving for „zero defects“.
2. Identifies & leads initiatives with our suppliers to enable sustainable improvements that led into cost saving and / or avoidance.
3. Supports the root cause analyses and implementation of corrective and preventive actions for major impacting non-conformities in products and services at suppliers.
4. Identify potential opportunities for improvements in quality & costs.
5. Monitor supplier performance KPI´s, analyses supplier´s manufacturing processes, quality records, complaints and other sources of data.
6. Works closely with purchasing, manufacturing, quality and R&D to assure continious improvement of product, services and processes to meet quality and cost requirements at the suppliers.
7. Performs process audits to identify improvement opportunities and ensure implementation of improvement actions.
8. Provides technical support for supplier selection acc. category and/or sourcing strategy initiatives.
9. Provides technical guidance and expertise internally and to suppliers regarding manufacturing processes, quality methods and techniques.
Your experience - we should get to know each other if you have the following qualifications:
10. University degree, preferably in metallurgical, materials, chemicals or mechanical engineering.
11. Experience with various manufacturing processes for fasteners (e.g. surface treatment, heat treatment, wire drawing, cold forming).
12. Familiar with automotive and construction industry standards.
13. 6 Sigma/ Lean project skills highly desirable.
14. Excellent data visualization and analytics skills.
15. Several years of experience in leading supplier development programs.
16. Several years of experience in quality management and methods.
17. Proved experience on performing supplier audits, based on VDA 6.3
18. Autonomy and leadership.
19. Negotiation skills.
20. Ability to take decisions in difficult situations.
21. Strong problem solving and troubleshooting competence.
22. Ability to lead cross functional teams and task forces.
23. Good command in English, both written and verbal.
24. Intercultural competence and willingness to travel.
