Job Title: Commissioning Engineer (m/f/d)
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Commissioning Engineer to join our project integration team. This position involves the commissioning of complex systems in various industrial and logistics environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with electrical systems and PLC-based automation, and be comfortable working in dynamic, international settings.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Preparation & Planning:
* Contribute to early-phase project planning by reviewing technical documentation, timelines, and project goals with cross-functional teams.
* Ensure a clear understanding of all commissioning requirements and deliverables.
* Site Coordination & Execution:
* Work in tandem with site management to coordinate commissioning tasks.
* Serve as the key contact for stakeholders on site, including clients, contractors, and inspection authorities.
* Supervise and execute the commissioning process, ensuring all activities comply with applicable safety and quality regulations.
* Testing & System Validation:
* Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) with software and controls engineers.
* Verify hardware installations including sensors, actuators, and fieldbus systems.
* Conduct regular inspections and diagnostic tests to ensure systems are operating according to design specifications.
* Reporting & Documentation:
* Maintain comprehensive daily logs, including testing records, progress reports, and handover documentation.

Your Profile:
* Completed technical training in mechatronics, electrical engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in system commissioning, preferably in an international or industrial environment.
* Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, and automation processes.
* Initial experience in leading teams or coordinating subcontractors is an advantage.
* Flexibility to travel frequently (domestically and internationally) as part of the role.
* Valid international driver’s license.
* Proficient in German and English (written and spoken)
